Canines and their reaction to trying new food items are always interesting. Owners often come up with items to surprise their pets and observe their reactions, especially when there are siblings. A recent post on social media hilariously captures this instance. The video focuses on a dog and a puppy having different reactions to an egg. A user named @goldenchilidog took to their Instagram to share this precious moment of her Golden Retrievers, Chilli and Stevie. The profile focuses on the siblings’ Shenanigans from the lakeside journey to snow adventures.
Dog and puppy have very different approaches to egg challenge
In the above-mentioned video, the paw parent tests her dog and puppy’s time with an egg. The clip shows the dog mom holding two eggs in her hand with the Goldens standing on both sides. She says, “They say that dogs are gentle when they are given an egg; we are gonna see who is more gentle.” It looks like Chilli and Stevie are equally excited for the challenge as they try to grab the egg.
The first one is Stevie, who grabs the egg in her mouth and treats it like a toy for the first ten seconds. It ends up slipping from her mouth, but doesn’t break. The mom realizes that the pup isn’t really gentle with the egg.
Further, Stevie slips under the deck with the food, making up for a hilarious moment. Later, Chilli gets the egg, and his reaction is opposite. The owner finds this pooch “very gentle,” unlike his sibling.
He starts digging a nest for the egg on the sand, leaving his mom’s heart melting. Subsequently, Stevie tries to do the same with her egg but to no success. The puppy continues to play with the egg until it eventually breaks. On the other hand, Chilli turns into a mother hen for his egg. He sunbathes with the item for 30 minutes while his mom is unable to get over his display of warmth. The owner also praises him in the caption, “he’s being thoughtful because he knows the egg prices right now.”
