NASA really ought to start checking with pet parents before scheduling major mission launches. Poor Tucker from @tuckin.around.tx had a hard time because his schedule was completely ignored. This dog is a professional at the tongue-out nap, according to his bio, but he is almost always wide awake for his dinner.

In the clip, the living room is packed with people ready to watch history unfold. Mom is on the couch while three little girls are sitting right by the TV. Everyone is cheering as the countdown reaches zero, but then Tucker marches into the frame. He sits squarely in front of his mom and looks right at her, partially blocking her view of the lift-off. It is a bold move for a dog who usually wants to please.
He is visibly annoyed that some “space metal” is getting all the attention. “Houston we do actually have a problem—it’s now five thirty-FIVE,” one hilarious viewer commented. Tucker is simply not interested in the physics of space travel; all this dog wants in this video is his dinner.
This breed is famously focused on food, and he takes his mealtimes very seriously. He doesn’t look at the TV at all. In fact, he looks at mom and then shifts his eyes to where the kitchen is. Another fan joked that he is thinking, “YOU’RE NOT ON THE SHIP! WHERE’S MY FOOD!”
“V unreasonable to delay dinner for history, Tucker thinks,” his owner admitted in the caption. The Artemis is actually due back on Earth on April 10. We can only hope he has forgiven his mom by now. Another pet owner mentioned their pup was equally annoyed during the launch. One thing is for sure. Tucker is a very hungry boy who knows that eating is important. Hopefully, he got an extra scoop of kibble for his patience that night.
