The crew over at @maruhusky is currently dealing with some serious heartbreak. Their favorite delivery guy recently quit his route, but the dogs definitely didn’t get the memo. Freya the Husky is still sitting by the glass door every single day, and she is joined by Bear and little Adalind.
This viral video shows how they wait even when it’s raining outside. It is honestly the most precious thing you’ll see today. They have known this man since Freya was a tiny puppy. Seeing their faces always made his day brighter, but now the house feels a little bit emptier without his visits.
Owner pretends to be the delivery guy for dogs
The courier actually sent a text before his last shift. He shared a photo of the pups watching him from inside and told the owners that seeing them made his hard work worth it. He even asked for them to get a special pat from him, and it is clear the impact went both ways. One viewer said they would still visit just to see that welcome party. Unfortunately, the pups don’t understand employment changes; they just see an empty driveway. Bear, the Bearded Collie, keeps a close watch from the back, too, along with Freya and Adalind.
The owners couldn’t stand seeing the disappointment on those furry faces. Thus, Papa decided to take matters into his own hands and started dressing up as a delivery guy himself. We see him in a cap and a mask to hide his identity, and then there are several shots of him walking up to the glass door with a parcel. He places them down and gives a big wave to the crowd every time.
Freya and Adalind watch him intensely through the glass, and in another shot, Bear joins them, too. The intensely sweet video has already racked up over 40k likes, as of the time of writing. Someone commented that they don’t think the dogs actually bought it. But honestly, it doesn’t really matter if these dogs know it is Dad. They just want that daily interaction and the wave.
Adalind the Pomeranian is hilarious because she stands on her tiny tippy toes to see better. The owners said they will do anything to make them smile. “We hope we can be their next favorite and make their days brighter, just like they always brighten ours,” they wrote in the in-video caption.
