Video: Golden Retriever Puppy Is Yet to Figure Out How a Frisbee Works

Everything is a puzzle when you’re only a few months old. Additionally, it becomes even more confusing when your human drops a giant blue circle in front of you. Thor, the star of @thorswrldd, found himself in this exact predicament recently. This English Golden Retriever puppy hasn’t quite mastered the physics of flight yet, or even grabbing.

Instead of catching the frisbee, he’s treating it like a very confusing piece of jewelry. “Is this how you do it?” his owner asked in the caption. He stands there, looking at the plastic hoop like it’s a riddle.

This Golden Retriever puppy is not quite skilled at frisbee

Thor tries to lift the blue ring with his mouth. However, a front leg gets caught inside the hoop. He fails to move properly, so he stops and looks towards his human and the camera. Then he starts troubleshooting in real-time. It’s that famous retriever intelligence at work, even if it’s currently malfunctioning a bit.

He tries to take a step, wobbles, and the toy hits the ground. And then something clicks. He doesn’t take his leg out. Instead, he shoves the other paw through the center. Now he’s wearing the frisbee like a hula hoop while still holding it in his mouth.

It’s not perfect, and it definitely squeezes his stride. But he can actually move now. He starts trotting toward his human. His tail is wagging with happiness because he’s so proud of this weird discovery. Hundreds of people have already liked the clip on the new account. His confidence is just through the roof.

He eventually makes it all the way to the camera while holding the toy tight. One commenter called him an “angel puppy” for figuring this out. He looks so happy with his new, albeit incorrect, technique. Another person pointed out that this is exactly “what cuteness looks like.” For now, just walking while wearing the toy is a massive win.
