Seeing their furry pals jumping with joy and welcoming them with hugs and kisses is the best feeling for every pet owner. Most dog owners wait for this moment every day. Even this pet parent was waiting for the same gesture, but was left disappointed when his furry companion did not come to greet him at the door for an unexpected reason.
Dog is too cozy in her bed when dad comes home
This dog dad was looking forward to being welcomed by his “gentle giant rescue,” Marge, when he came back home. But he was surprised to see that the pooch did not show up at the door to greet him. So, the concerned parent looked for the pooch only to find her sleeping in the bed.
The dad captured the sleepy dog’s reaction in the video and uploaded it on the dog’s account, @largemargedog, to show her adorable act. The clip showed the white pup on the bed, in a sleepy state, when the dad barged into the room, saying, “Oh someone just couldn’t be bothered to say hi to dad when he got home.”
Looking at her dad’s reaction, the furball tried hard to wake up from the bed, wagging her tail, but could only give her paws to her human companion when the dad once again interrogated the pup. He went on to say that her “sister came out and said hi to when I got home, but you were in here being a big sleepy bear.” But soon after, the dad softened as he petted the pooch, saying, “You were just being a lazy bones.”
Despite this, he did not let the pup go easily. He questioned the pooch one more time, asking, “where’s my greeting when I come in the house?” as he expected the pup to say, “Hello dad, Welcome home Father, I love you!” At last, looking at the pup’s sleepy state, the dad’s heart melted, and he let Marge “go to bed,” which she immediately did.
Marge surely left many smitten, as one person said, “The tail was giving the welcome home!” Meanwhile, another dog lover commented, “Beautiful sleepy Margie.”
