This particular video shows the time when the dog tries to bypass the “no pets on couch” policy. He knows he isn’t allowed. But he’s a velcro dog, and thus likes to be within touching distance of mom at all times. So he crouches down. He pretends to check out the floor. And then he just casually rests an elbow on the seat.

He doesn’t even glance at his mom for a green light. He just looks straight ahead like he isn’t doing anything wrong. It is actually hilarious. And he really thinks he’s pulling it off. But then he takes it a step further. The video cuts to him with his entire bum on the cushion while his front feet stay on the floor.
He is technically still on the rug. So he thinks he’s safe. He gives the camera a quick look, then looks away fast. Like he’s trying to stay undercover. The people in the comments are totally on his side. Someone joked that it’s called “fur-niture” for a reason. And another called it a brilliant loophole.
He is a dog on a mission. And that mission is clearly to be as close to his human as possible. One viewer of the video even joked about calling social services because the dog is not allowed on the couch. But he just wants to be around his mom. Evidently, he is very smart, and he knows exactly what he’s doing.
His owner says he is forever testing limits. Which makes sense. You can see how serious he is in that awkward sitting position. But he isn’t moving. Over 3k people have already liked the post. They probably recognize that “I’m not doing anything” face just as well. Hopefully, he didn’t get kicked off too fast.
