2-year-old toddler Olivia clearly runs the show in her household, and she has the multilingual skills to prove it. In a new video from @ladyandtheblues, this energetic toddler heads to the park with her two Golden Retriever sisters, Lady and Lily. Her parents decided to put a microphone on her to capture every tiny, hilarious instruction she gives the pups. Before they even leave the driveway, she checks the sidewalk temperature in Japanese to ensure it is safe for paws. She then switches to Swedish to lead the “walking party” toward their destination. To make it better, she’s even wearing a birthday hat for no particular reason.
Golden Retrievers and toddler step out for a walk in adorable video
Interestingly, Olivia takes her job as a crossing guard very seriously. When they reach the street, she warns the dogs that a car is coming and firmly tells Lily to get “back.” She checks right and left with her dad before sprinting across the pavement while making “vroom vroom” noises. Once they reach the grass, her imagination really takes flight. At the water fountain, she tries her best to operate the buttons for the dogs, even if her technique is a bit chaotic.
She tells Lady to wait while she fixes her hat and then worries about potential wolves in the bushes. “Olivia will cry if a wolf comes,” she admits, though she is confident that Lady will protect her from any forest predators. Surprisingly, the walk turns into a total identity crisis for the little girl.
Then she decides to join them on all fours. She starts crawling through the grass and digging in the dirt, proudly declaring, “I’m like Lady.” One viewer loved seeing her “crawling around like her sisters.” Their “Goodest sisters” bio rings true here, as the pups calmly watch their human sister become a dog.
The headcount at the end of the video is where things get really funny. Mom points out Dog #1 and Dog #2, then tilts the camera to show Olivia as “Dog #3” joining the huddle on all fours. On the walk home, someone lets a fart slip. And while many would stay silent, Olivia takes full responsibility with zero hesitation. As her mom noted, “Apparently we have three doggies.” Over 14,000 people have already liked the post, with many envying her impressive vocabulary.
