Mochi spends half her time in San Diego hunting for socks and the rest in questionable situations. In a hilarious video posted by @missmochithegolden, this Golden Retriever somehow managed to get herself completely stuck on a living room chair. It isn’t that she’s actually trapped, but her brain decided gravity no longer works. Looking at her face, you can tell she’s reached a point of total surrender. She is just waiting for a miracle — or at least a hand — to get her back on the floor.
Golden Retriever stays incredibly still in this awkward position
In the video, we see the Golden Retriever sitting awkwardly and stuck on the chair. It defies all logic. One leg is tucked away, while the rest of her is sprawled on the seat of the chair. Her front paws are stretched in front, hovering inches above the floor. Yet she refuses to move or hop down. She truly believes she is “stuck” and you can’t convince her otherwise.
Her human caught the whole thing on camera, simply captioning the moment with a perfect, “Welp.” We see the helpless blinking from every possible angle. A Golden Retriever can be pretty athletic when they want, but Mochi seems to have glitched. She sits like a statue, occasionally giving a slow, disappointed blink at the lens.
At one point, she even lets out a tiny wink. It is like she is sending a secret SOS signal to her followers. She is such a funny character! We have seen her fight sleep before due to FOMO, but this furniture “stale-mate” is a new high.
Hundreds of people reacted to the video, with one commenter begging the owner to “send help.” It is hard not to laugh at her sweet, confused face while she stares at nothing. She looks like she is pondering every life choice that led to this chair crisis. One viewer joked that they are just so funny when they overthink simple movements.
