Golden Retriever Puppy Won’t Be ‘Outdone’ by Big Brothers

A new video from @charliethetherapy on Instagram is giving dog lovers exactly what they want: a tiny Golden Retriever puppy trying his absolute hardest to keep up with the older dogs in the house. The video stars Ollie, the youngest Golden in the trio, and his big brothers. In the footage, the pup seems convinced he is the same size, age, and authority level as his two much bigger brothers, Charlie and Jackson.

Golden Retriever puppy follows big brothers’ actions in video

The video opens with the older dogs doing their usual chaotic routine, and the Golden Retriever puppy jumps right into the middle of it. Ollie closely watches every move they make and copies them a second later, shaking right after they do with all the confidence in the world, even if he’s still figuring out the most basic things in life.

The owner wrote in the caption, “Anything you can do, I can do better! At 12 weeks of age, this Golden Retriever puppy (Ollie) will not be outdone by his brothers. I’m a Big Boy too!” And judging by the way he imitates his brothers, the caption is true.

Viewers jumped into the comments, writing how they loved every bit of the video. One person noted, “That means it’s play time haha,” while another joked, “Ready or not let play,” and a third one commented, “Imagine how good it must feel to do a shake.”

Others focused on how puppies often try to copy everything that older dogs do. One person commented, “Yup for better or worse the older dogs train the younger,” while another added, “They are teaching the baby to regulate and show good play manners ? so cute.”

Meanwhile, a viewer gushed, “Aww sweet baby trailing behind his big bros,” adding, “you’re one lucky parent to have three gorgeous fur babies.”

The message in the video is simple: whatever the big boys do, the Golden Retriever puppy will be doing it too — even if it is a good shake.
