Video: Dog Wants To Catch up on Remaining Sleep So He Moves His Bed Around

Sleep experts estimate humans spend nearly a third of their lives asleep — yet compared to dogs, that’s barely scratching the surface. Many pups clock up to 14 hours a day, effortlessly drifting between playtime, snack breaks, and snoozes. A viral video shows a determined little dog who refused to let nap time end and instead carried his entire bed across the house to keep the rest going.

Owner proves dog ‘never goes anywhere without his bed’ in video

Olli, a five-year-old Shih TzuMaltese mix, has made it clear that sleep is non-negotiable. His owner recently captured a hilarious moment on camera when she woke Olli from a nap a little earlier than he would have liked. Rather than accept the interruption, the clever pup simply decided to take his bed along and continue his slumber elsewhere.

The video featured a text overlay, “POV: You just woke up, but your dog isn’t done sleeping, so he drags the bed into the living room.” In the clip, Olli is walking determinedly through the house. Balanced on his head is his small dog bed, flipped upside down, as he trots from one room to the next. Once he reaches the living room, he shakes himself with enough energy to fling the bed off, ready to get comfortable again.

Clearly, Olli is attached to his bed and, as his owner puts it, “never goes anywhere without it.” Whether he’s napping, lounging, or following family members around the house, his bed is often close behind — or, in this case, on top of his head.

Viewers reacted playfully to Olli’s resourcefulness and stubborn streak. One person laughed, “Nap can hit anytime,” summing up the relatable vibe of the video. Another joked, “Does he also hide snacks in the bed for bad days?” Someone else couldn’t get enough of the way he shook the bed off, writing, “The head thrash! I love when they do that.” Perhaps the most fitting comment of all came from a user who said, “He’s like, ‘I’m gonna continue my life elsewhere if you don’t need me here.’”

For Olli, a good nap is worth the effort, even if it means carrying his entire bed to make sure he gets it.
