Leave it to your four-legged baby to catch a snooze anytime and anywhere, usually in the most inconvenient places and times. Have you ever thought that secretly sneaking in a nap could be your pet’s special skill? In a hilariously adorable video, an owner documented their deaf therapy dog casually dozing off during a school band concert because he could, and so he did. Cole seemed too proud that he was “out like a light” and was still the cutest in the room.
Deaf therapy dog is ‘out like a light’ as he sleeps during school concert in video
An off-the-charts kinda cute Instagram video showed how this deaf therapy dog didn’t let 100 students’ horn-honking at the school band concert ruin his nap time. Cole might take his job seriously most of the time, but that 10% is all for his goofiness and unwinding. Only this time, he chose to do the latter during the school band’s performance, and still went “out like a light” despite the loud noises because nothing comes between sleep and your furybaby.
The clip showed the pooch lying on his back behind the band while the students played their instruments, but he seemed untethered by the sound. Catching Z’s and off in la la land, he appeared too proud as he snoozed in the backdrop because he could. Meanwhile, the subtext shared his inner monologue, “When a nap calls, one must answer.” He then congratulated the kids for doing a good job, even though he couldn’t hear them and slept throughout their show.
Moreover, the therapy dog’s video proved that being deaf often has its own perks, like being able to snooze away at any place and any time. It seemed neither the students nor his dad minded Cole taking a nap at his place of work (he’s a therapy dog at the school), and commenters echoed similar sentiments. “I imagine he would like the feeling of the vibrations as well,” wrote one user, while another joked, “I hope you don’t snore during the show.”
