So, it was only natural for this dog dad to take his Golden Retriever puppy named Bauer on his first-ever walk and document it in an Instagram video. The experience was both eye-opening and filled with loving memories for the pup, who also had his big brother, Maverick, accompany him.

Golden Retriever puppy Bauer is checking one thing after another on his list to explore his new surroundings. In an Instagram video on the account @imbluethesiberian, his dog dad captured the pup going on his first walk outside. The owner chose a bright sunny morning to introduce his pet to the outside world. He called his dog a “small potato with little legs” in the caption.
The video began with the owner taking Bauer outside, having the dog walk on the footpath, ensuring his safety with a leash. The Golden Retriever walked past multiple houses, his chirpy steps indicating that he was “having the best time ever.” Although he had the leash tied around his neck, the pup ensured extra caution by holding it in his mouth. As he continued his first walk, he looked around in awe at the wonders that the outside held.
The Instagram video then captured Bauer walking quietly behind his big brother Maverick, who was promptly guiding him on the walk. However, the adventure didn’t last long as the puppy’s “little legs couldn’t keep up,” making him tired. The Golden pup then rested on the lawn for a bit before his dad decided not to let the pet’s fatigue stop him from exploring the world.
The owner picked Bauer up and carried him home, while showering the puppy with kisses and hugs throughout the way back. Although the Golden Retriever was sleepy, he appeared to enjoy his dad’s loving gesture. Meanwhile, fans couldn’t stop adoring Bauer, with one calling the puppy a “daddy’s boy.” Many also complimented the owner for giving the dog the best possible life one could imagine.
