Luca’s hilarious and heart-melting introduction to a backyard sprinkler hoop was caught on camera and posted to the Instagram account @vitothedogfather. In the clip, Luca’s mom surprises him with a sprinkler hoop on a sunny day. At first, the curious pup keeps his distance, suspicious of the new contraption spraying water across the lawn. He watches the stream closely, then glances at his mom as if to say, “Are you sure about this?”
With some encouragement from his owner, Luca inches closer and starts to explore the sprinkler more confidently. At one point, he even leans in to take a sip, still puzzled by the strange new toy. However, when his mom gives the command to jump through it, that’s when the real fun begins. Instead of leaping through the center, Luca launches himself sideways at the hoop, missing the mark completely in the most endearing way.
After a few amusing missteps and hesitant attempts, Luca begins to grasp the concept. Once he understands what’s being asked, he leaps through the hoop with surprising agility.
