Lewis Hamilton adopted Roscoe back in 2013 after going through an online page. Getting candid about his beloved pooch Roscoe during a Q&A session on the Mercedes F1 Team’s official YouTube channel, the champion said, “I remember being online, looking online for rescues. There’s some page I found that had like 1,000 bulldogs and I just went through all of them and then I came across this one picture and I was like – ‘That’s him!’ And that was like one of the best decisions I ever took in my life.”
And after that Roscoe became part of his family. And if you are wondering the reason behind the pet’s name, it’s simply because Lewis Hamilton thought it “was a cool name.” What’s more, like the racer, Roscoe too loves quad biking.
However, for the first eight years in the care, Roscoe suffered from a several health problems and also struggled to walk and breathe. As a result, the racer switched Roscoe to plant-based food in 2020 and saw overall improvements in his health.
