Tommy Lee’s Wife’s Quick Thinking Saved Their Dog From Coyote Attack

Rockstar Tommy Lee’s wife, Brittany Furlan, saved their dog, Neena, from a coyote attack inside their home in Los Angeles. Furlan shared surveillance footage of the horrific incident on her Instagram profile. The video captured the exact moment the coyote snatched their small Dachshund near the pool while their other dog narrowly escaped. Furlan saved Neena owing to her quick thinking when she heroically ran after the beast.

Lee’s wife released surveillance footage that captured the coyote attack on their dog. The Instagram video featured a trigger warning showing a coyote snatching Neena near the backyard pool. The comedian, however, was prompt to rush after the wild beast and save the small Dachshund.

In the caption, Furlan confirmed, “Neena is safe.” The 38-year-old then detailed how she “climbed up the wall and grabbed her out of its mouth. Thank God she’s a little bit fat because he couldn’t make it over the wall with her.” She believes had Neena been petite, “she would’ve been gone.”

The caption stated that Lee’s dog was attacked “in broad daylight at 1 PM.” It also stated that coyotes “are getting more brazen and hungry.” Lee’s wife urged others to “please be safe,” exclaiming, “I’m not even letting the dogs out anymore. This is ridiculous. Hug your babies extra tight.”

The footage later shows Lee outside where the close call occurred. He had been inside the house and only rushed to the yard after hearing Furlan’s screams. By then, Furlan had already rescued their dog, but the coyote ran away.

Furlan explained to NBC4 that she was able to save Neena because “she’s a heavier dachshund.” She claimed when the coyote “jumped over the wall,” the dog’s “legs were hanging.” She immediately “jumped up the wall and grabbed her legs from out of his mouth.”

Lee and Furlan are grateful that their dog is unharmed, but the couple urged others in the area to be “vigilant.” She said she was still “shaken up” and advised nearby residents to “never leave” small pets outside alone.

Neena turned 10 earlier this year, as seen in her dog mom’s photo on Instagram.
