Pet Product Review - Ultra Paws Durable Dog Boots
BRRRRRR..... It's cold out there. Here in New Jersey we're expecting 7 inches of snow. Now imagine walking in the snow and on the ice barefoot? Now if your dog is a Huskie or a German Shepherd, well they probably don't mind the snow and ice and are genetically endowed with paws well suited for cold weather. But other dogs, well quite frankly, you need boots. With that, boots are very important not just for keeping dog paws warm, but making a barrier between their sensitive pads and harsh winter chemicals.

Some of the best canine boots I've seen are by Ultra Paws. Ultra Paws has a wide selection of boots for multi-purpose and multi-breeds. The best all general boot is the Ultra Paws Durable Dog Boots. The Ultra Paws Durable Dog Boot is contstructed of tough water resistant canvas with a grippy bottom and two velcro straps that fasten the boot around the dog's ankles. What I like about the Ultra Paws boots is the double velcro that will adhere the boot to even the smallest of ankles. There is foam at the top of the boot to keep out drafts, water and cold and create an even more snug grip around your dog's paw. Nothing is worse than loosing a bootie in the snow. I also like the textured boot bottom. Slipping on the ice is also hard on a dog's hips. If your dog is prown to hip and joint problems, they especially need this support.
The Ultra Paws Durable Dog boots come in 3 colors, Red, Black and Camoflauge. At $29.95 for a set of 4 booties, they are not inexpensive, but they are a winter essential. The camoflauge pattern may be an additional cost. I recommend going to www.ultrapaws.com to purchase. This site has all of the many sizes and colors available as well as a huge selection of high quality gear that compliments the boots.
