You CAN overcome an allergy as an adult! I was in my twenties and had both dog and cat allergies. I got my cat first. Took about two years for me to get used to her (I had to take my "cat clothes" off and leave them outside the bedroom - the clothes I wore when I was around the cat; she wasn't allowed in the bedroom at all etc. I also took allergy meds fairly regularly, especially during hayfever season - anoth...
