When to muzzle your dog
I Recently had a 3 year old German Shepherd taken away from me and killed by the City of Ogden, Ogden, Utah He was playing with my children in the yard and bit a couple children....not bad bites kinda nips but did break the skin...so had to be quarantined for 10 days...that made him so crazy!!!...when I picked him up out of quarantine the Animal Services said I had to have a muzzle on him at all times...except in the house!! Is this appropriate for his playing around??

Dominance: Dog training's dirty word
My 4 month old black lab has alot of energy. Sometimes, after a walk, during a walk or when just playing in the backyard he will stop, look at me then basically "atttack" me... He jumps up starts biting at me. I have tried the "ignoring" thing and the "rolling on the back and "muzzling" thing as well, he reacts better to the dominance roll. Any suggestions?

Aggression toward people
Hi there,
I am looking for an explanation on my dog's strange behavior towards my fiance. I would also like to find a solution, but nowhere can I find a subject relating to this problem!
She is a Jack Russel cross breed and she's a very happy dog, with her tail always in the air and always excited and listens when I talk to her... Until she senses my fiance.

aggressive collie
hi,i have a 3 yr old border collie,he is a great dog in every way except that he is aggressive towards people that he does not know,i know that as a puppy he was never socialised and when we got him he did not know what a child was,he used to make snapping noises very close to there ears,it took him about 3 weeks to get used to all my family and is a very loving dog especially with the younger children.i tried to t... Dominance: Dog training's dirty word
In a group of dogs or any animals there is a leader and rank, most people shouldn't try physical training because they don't know how to read the dog and the correct timing, but when done correctly I think it can be better than reward training. But for most people reward training is the only way to go because, they can't physically train their dog properly which leads to problems, but reward training is much easier to understand and for most people can't be done improperly.
