  I have a 5 year old german shepherd that I have had for a few months. I cannot get him to stop barking when someone comes through the door or even when my daughter comes upstairs. He will not follow a quiet command. If I have been home he doesn't usually bark at me when I come home but when my husband comes home from work he acts like he is a complete stranger. I could love some advice on how to get this under control.

• getting dog to come into parts of house that used to be off limits

  I have a 7 yr old Labradoodle. we used to have Invisible Fence in the house and the dog was not allowed at the front part of the hosue. the IF has been deactivated for years now but the dog will still not come into that part of the house. We now would like the dog to be able to use that portion of the house but can't get it him to come here. How do I retrain him that it is now okay?
