Video: Dog Siblings Take IQ Test & It Instantly Proves Who Is Smarter

There’s something endlessly entertaining about watching dog siblings try out new challenges, and Ollie and Tato prove it perfectly. In this Instagram video, these Labrador Retriever brothers are about to take on an IQ test. Ollie is sure of himself and yet cautious. He watches before he does anything. Tato, on the other hand, shows that sometimes you can come across as intelligent just by being curious and mischievous. Their reactions to the test, which includes a duckie blanket, tell the whole story.

Dog siblings’ IQ test ends up with different results in video

An adorable Instagram video has just completely taken over the internet. The video begins with Ollie and Tato sitting patiently as their human brings out the activity jar. Ollie picks the chit labeled “IQ test.” He thinks he will do well. Viewers can hear it in the voice-over that is narrated from Ollie’s POV. He says, “Oh, I think I’ll be pretty smart, but I’m not sure about my brother.” The test is to escape from under a blanket.

As their mum throws the blanket on him, he looks puzzled, struggling to escape. He wonders, “Where did everybody go?” and says, “How will I ever escape?” He finally gets out, but it takes him a good 40 seconds to do it.

Then it’s Tato’s turn. Ollie predicts his baby brother will struggle, but in a hilarious “plot twist,” Tato escapes almost instantly. Ollie’s expression says it all: a mix of disbelief and mild disappointment. He says, “I don’t think I want to do this test anymore.” As the clip ends, we see both the brothers posing for the camera, even as Ollie declares, “We’re both smart. Don’t ask any more questions.”

It’s no surprise the video got over 129k likes. People who have commented on the clip are charmed by the contrast between Ollie’s strategy and Tato’s lightning-fast instincts. One person wrote, “Oh Ollie you are a scholar and a gentleman; Tato got some street smarts though. You are both precious!” Another user added, “No Brain cell was harmed in the making of this.”
