On the streets of India a passerby, pulled an elderly dog from a sewage system. Sick and injured, the dog just lay there, unable to move. Even though he had a gaping wound that was infested with maggots, he seemed to thrive on human affection.
He was wrapped in a blanket and taken to get medical attention. The doctor cleaned his wound and gave him intravenous antibiotics. For the next few days he was fed through a syringe while his body needed time to recover. By the 3rd day he was eating on his own.
Thanks to Animal Aid Unlimited the dog is fully ambulatory and able to wag his happy tail. Watch the video to see his remarkable recovery.
