Our Story:

My brother-in-law at the time was working with a logging company and one morning in December he stumbled upon this young pup and siblings. So he packed them up after work and took them home. He kept one, gave this lil guy to his sister-in-law and found a home for the others. She had the seven week old pup for maybe one whole week. She decided she did not want him because he peed and pooped in the house — mind you this is a PUPPY!

So, my mother-in-law called me and my husband and told us about her decision to re-dump the pup in the woods. Well, we already had two dogs, but as much as I love animals I was not going to have this happen. So without ever meeting this lil fella, I told my mother-in-law to have her bring him to me and we would keep him until we found him a good home.

WELL, we tried to find him a home, but in no time flat we all fell in love with this lil furry goofball. So we kept him. But its sad for me to think about him as I had to give him up in 2005. I was fortunate enough that a good friend of mine loved this lil fella as well and offered a good home for him.

As of today I do not get to see him often, but I do have contacts and he is doing well, just getting old and fat. His first name Tanner was due to his color and for some reason it fit the lil nut perfect. His middle name Forest came because of being found in the woods. I will forever love and miss him, he was so much like a four legged furry human. When I looked into those eyes it was like I could see his soul. May god bless all!
