DogTime Review: Will The ‘DogiPack Party Poopers Value Pack’ Make Cleaning Up After Your Pup A Breeze?

I absolutely love going on walks with my dog, Leia. It’s a great way for both of us to get exercise, enjoy the fresh air and flowers. She loves sniffing them, which just melts me! We also accomplish a necessary task: a bathroom break — for her, just to be clear.

Collecting dog poop is probably everyone’s least favorite aspect of a walk outside. But as much as you may not like it, certainly, your neighbors would like it even less if you left it there for them to pick up.

Truthfully, there have been times where I’ve forgotten to bring a bag with me, and I’ve had to memorize the location of the deposit and jog back to pick it up after I drop Leia off at home. And don’t even get me started on the inconvenience of bringing along a poop bag when your outfit doesn’t have pockets — right, ladies?-

Holding a plastic bag in your hand inevitably leads to a parachute situation, which can be quite annoying if it’s windy outside. I’ve taken to tucking bags into my waistband or watch band, which doesn’t always work well.

The DogiPack Party Poopers Value Pack is the simple, elegant solution to a messy problem. Compact and efficient, this rugged, handy dispenser is weather-proof and built to last. It fits in one roll of bags at a time, and the value pack comes with four rolls of bags.

How Easy Is It To Use The DogiPack Party Poopers Dispenser?

The dispenser couldn’t be easier to use. It comes with a built-in clip at the top that you could attach to a belt loop, the leash handle, your dog’s harness, your dog’s collar — really anywhere.

It also has a loop on the back, through which you could thread your dog’s leash, collar, or harness clasp.

The zipper on the back of the bag allows you to put in the roll of bags, which you then pull through the hole at the bottom, which is nicely reinforced with a grommet.

The pouch also has plenty of room for you to stash your ID, cash, chapstick, mini tube of sunscreen, a few treats, keys — which you could also attach to the clip — or whatever other small items you might want to bring.

Putting It On

At first, I tried slipping Leia’s leash through the bag. However, it slid down once I attached the leash to her harness, probably because her leash is so narrow and she, herself, is very low to the ground.

I found that the loop on the back of the bag also fit through Leia’s harness clip, so it could attach to her harness much like a backpack.

Besides being practical, I found this configuration to be SO cute. Doesn’t Leia look excited to be helpful?

We took off on our walk, and Leia did not seem encumbered at all by the lightweight DogiPack attachment on her harness.

It didn’t take her long to put the “backpack” to use.

The bags are truly the perfect size for whatever your dog creates, from a teacup Chihuahua to a Mastiff. My eco-friendly side, which is all of my sides, appreciated using less plastic for this better fit than my usual grocery bag go-tos.

The bags were a perfect thickness, too, not allowing for the surprise rips often occurring in grocery bags — a surprise discovered only when that cringe-worthy warm, squishy feeling touches your fingers.

But the bags also aren’t thicker than need be, again, appealing to my eco-friendly heart.

The Verdict: Should You Buy It?

Leia and I both absolutely loved this simple, elegant solution to a frequently messy situation. It’s much less hassle than even putting a bag in your pocket — if you’re lucky enough to have one!

The dispenser ensures the bag comes out in the same direction each time, saving you from un-balling the grocery bag and holding it up to the stars to see which end is the bottom on nighttime walks.

Also, again, the dispenser protects the bags from rips, so you won’t have that warm, squishy surprise when you go to pick up the deposit.

Leia and I definitely recommend the DogiPack Party Pooper Value Pack for anyone looking to make picking up after your pup on short walks easier at an affordable price.

The Person Behind DogiPack

The owner, founder, designer, and CEO of DogiPack, Megan O’Brien, is such a neat person and very nice to work with, if you need any guidance on which products to get. She is a dog rescuer and fosterer, herself, so you know she believes in the products she’s created.

The idea behind DogiPack came to Megan when she adopted a senior terrier, Prudence, and brought her home to three other foster dogs. Prudence brought home some souvenirs herself — surprise puppies!

Megan was having great difficulty walking the eight dogs together and juggling poop bags — and thus, the DogiPack shaped itself in her mind, an idea borne from necessity. To read more about Megan’s story, check out this great article Forbes wrote about her.

The article describes a time when Megan donated many DogiPack belts to a group of veterans, which is an extremely kind act in and of itself. But DogiPack’s philanthropy doesn’t stop there.

A portion of the proceeds from each purchase of DogiPack products goes to a dog rescue. They invite suggestions of rescues you’d like them to support, so tell them at www.dogipack.com.
