Dog Never Outgrows the Kiss He Learned to Give During Mom’s Lipstick Routine

What started as a playful moment between a woman and her Pitbull puppy has turned into one of those little family traditions that somehow becomes even sweeter with time. A video shared by reel creator Kaja Sonik Zon shows just how much the bond between her and her dog has grown. The clip looks back at their early days together and then jumps to the present, revealing that one adorable habit never disappeared.

Puppy keeps the same sweet lipstick-time kiss routine with his mom even after growing up

The caption says it all: “How it started vs how it’s going.” In the first part of the video, Kaja sits on the bed applying lipstick while her young Pitbull watches from beside her. The puppy seems fascinated by whatever his mom is doing and keeps moving closer to investigate. At one point, he leans toward her face and gives her a sweet kiss while she continues with her makeup. The puppy’s tiny head tilt makes the moment even more adorable.

The video then switches to the present day, and the difference is impossible to miss. The once-small Pitbull has grown into a much bigger dog, but his affection for his mom hasn’t changed. While Kaja applies lipstick again, her grown-up pup sits right beside her, watching her just as closely as he did when he was tiny. Then he leans in and gives her another kiss. The routine has stayed remarkably similar despite the years and the size difference.

Kaja’s Instagram profile describes her page as “A girl and her Pitbull. A story of pure love.” People watching the video immediately noticed how much the dog had grown while keeping the same affectionate personality. One user wrote, “Somehow they get bigger, and the bond gets even bigger with them. This is so sweet.” Another called the pair “Adorable.” Another viewer focused on the puppy’s reaction, writing, “The puppy head tilt, oh my God, that was so cute.”
