At one point, Marshal’s owner places the TV remote on top of his head, seemingly after using it to change the channel. However, the pup does not seem to mind the remote resting on him at all. Instead of shaking his head, moving away, or giving his owner a questioning look, he remains exactly where he is and continues relaxing.

The Dachshund’s complete lack of reaction makes it look as though he has willingly accepted his latest household responsibility. Meanwhile, the owner pokes fun at the situation with an onscreen caption that reads, “Assigned a role he did not apply for.”

The post’s caption continues the joke, saying, “He has a name, a following, and his dignity. one of these is gone.” The playful comment suggests that while Marshal may have plenty of recognition and fans, his dignity took a temporary hit when he became a makeshift remote holder.
