Everyone’s ‘Afraid’ of This Dog, but His Sweet Greeting for Grandparents Tells a Different Story

The American XL Bully is suddenly on his feet, heading for the door and ready for an enthusiastic greeting. In the video shared by @costa_del_dog, Costa goes from looking regal and imposing to wagging, bouncing, and handing out kisses the second his grandparents arrive.

The video starts with Costa sitting outside, looking almost comically serious. Then his mom asks, “Who’s come to see you, Cost?” and gives him the tiniest hint that someone special is on the way. That is all Costa needs. As soon as he hears the door unlocking, he gets up. When his mom asks if it is Nany, stretching out the word to make it extra exciting, Costa heads straight toward the house.

His grandmother is waiting at the threshold of the glass door with her arms open, and Costa’s tail is already going full speed before he gets to her. His mom catches up with him and says, “Say hello, Nany,” which he does joyfully. And then the furry being quickly heads over to greet his granddad as he comes through the front door. There is no choosing favorites here. Costa wants everyone at once.

Once the grandparents are inside, the excitement keeps going. Nany asks where his toys are, while Costa investigates her purse by putting his front paws up on the dining table. In the next clip, his attention is entirely on granddad, who is sitting at the head of the dining table. Costa places his paws on his lap and starts handing out sweet kisses.
