A 20-minute medicated bath was apparently more than enough for one rescue dog. A Bully named Baloo made his feelings known by repeatedly diving into the mud in his owner’s backyard before the bath was even over. An Instagram video captured his dramatic response. The adorable clip turned out to be very relatable to fellow dog parents.
Rescue dog rolls in the mud again and again during his medicated long bath in the backyard
The clip, shared by @bully.baloo, begins with onscreen text, “my dog immediately after a 20 minute long medicated bath.” Moments later, Baloo enthusiastically rolls around in the mud in his parents’ backyard. He is seen covering himself in dirt just after his mom thoroughly washed him.
The timing made the moment even funnier. Rather than waiting until bath time was completely over, Baloo appeared to seize his first opportunity to undo all of his mom’s efforts by repeatedly throwing himself into the muddy ground.
According to the caption, the bath was not an ordinary wash but a medicated one that required extra time. His mom explained, “That is a tantrum being thrown if I’ve ever seen one @bully.baloo. I lathered him up TWICE and left the soap in to soak as suggested, and when I turn around I find him like this. Classic bully boy.”
The owner’s description suggested they had carefully followed the treatment instructions. Despite all that effort, the rescue dog appeared to have completely different plans.
As the video continues, Baloo happily rubs himself into the mud. He looks entirely unbothered by the extra cleanup situation he was creating. By the end of the clip, he lets out a soft growl, which his mom jokingly presents as his final complaint about the lengthy bath.
Viewers quickly filled the comments with jokes about the relatable scene. “The walk of shame towards the hose when I say he has to finish his bath kills me,” one person wrote about their experience. Another commenter couldn’t get enough of his dramatic ending, saying, “I love the gremlin noises at the end.”
Others imagined what might have been going through the dog’s mind. “Must get the clean off!” one viewer joked. Meanwhile, another defended Baloo’s actions with, “But it feels so good, mom!!”
