The Place This Golden Retriever Loved Most Lives On in the Sweetest Way

One window in this house means a little more than all the others for a grieving New York family. It was their late dog Hudson’s favorite place to stand, and he’d happily watch whatever was happening outside.

Recently, @hudsonbegood shared the small memorial they made to make sure their late Golden Retriever’s favorite spot is never forgotten. They hung up a sign there so everyone in the house knows exactly whose window it will always be. Anyone who followed Hudson online will probably recognize that window straight away. It was one of his favorite places to be.

A family preserves their late Golden Retriever’s favourite window spot with a touching tribute

The first clip is an old one. In it, Hudson is standing tall at his favorite window while his little human brother keeps him company. Hudson leans against the window, happy just watching the neighborhood go by. A message on the screen reads, “This was always Hudson’s and his brother’s favorite spot.”

Then the video cuts to the present day. The little boy runs back to that same window, this time with a tiny puppy hurrying after him. Honey Bea is still too small to peek outside on her own, so he lifts her up and sweetly tells her, “This is Hudson’s window.” He says it so naturally that you’d think Honey Bea had already heard the story.

That’s when they reveal what they’ve been working on. Beside Hudson’s portrait and a remembrance candle is a signboard decorated with paw prints and a rainbow that reads “Hudson’s Window.” Mom hands it to her son, who carries it over and hangs it above the very place Hudson loved most. Honey Bea stays close, watching the whole thing.

The last view comes from the front yard. The new sign is now visible through the glass as the mom, her little boy, and Honey Bea stand together behind it. Anyone walking past the house now will know exactly whose window it is. The touching video of the Golden Retriever’s memorial picked up nearly 25,000 likes in less than 24 hours, with viewers sharing just how much the tribute meant to them.
