Golden Retriever Keeps Doing the Same Thing Every Time She Sees Water

If Wynn spots a patch of water, there’s a good chance she’s about to spend the next several minutes blowing bubbles into it. Not splashing around. Not swimming laps. Just happily dunking her face underwater, coming up for a quick breath, and diving straight back in to do it all over again. The hilarious habit, shared by @wynn_thegolden, has left lots of people wondering what exactly is going through this Golden Retriever’s mind whenever she finds water. Whatever the answer is, Wynn seems completely entertained by her unusual little pastime.

The clip opens with Wynn standing in the shallow part of a lake, almost completely underwater. Even her face has disappeared beneath the surface as text on the video jokes, “You want a dog that likes water until they do this all day everyday.” A second later, the bubbles begin.

Wynn blows a stream of bubbles beneath the surface, lifts her head up with water dripping from her face, snorts the water out of her nose, grabs one quick breath, then dunks herself right back under. Clearly she isn’t done yet.

She keeps repeating the routine. Sometimes she waddles forward a step or two before bubbling away again. Other times she stays in one spot, completely focused on whatever fascinating underwater project she’s convinced she’s working on.

The video has already racked up more than 169,000 likes, and the comments are almost as entertaining as Wynn herself. “She needs goggles,” one person joked. Another viewer refused to believe she was even a dog anymore, writing, “Look, this is a fish. Stop gaslighting me.” Others had equally creative theories. “I think this is how seals were made,” one commenter laughed, while another declared Wynn “an award-winning aquatic engineer at work.”

Perhaps the sweetest comment came from another Golden Retriever owner. They admitted, “My golden does this all the time I thought she was the only one.” Turns out Wynn may not be the only underwater bubble expert after all — she’s just the one making the whole internet smile.
