Shelter Dog Returned Thrice for Having ‘Too Much Energy’ Wonders if It’s His Fault

Imagine losing your home multiple times just for acting like a normal, playful pup. A heartbreaking video posted by @sharing.lov introduces a six-month-old shelter dog named Kingston who is living out this exact reality.

Volunteers in Marietta, Georgia, were completely stunned to see the puppy back in his kennel for the fourth time. Careless adopters repeatedly brought him back simply because he had a standard amount of “puppy-ness” in him. He first arrived as a stray at four months old before starting a very confusing cycle of brief adoptions.

The clip begins with Kingston peeking out from behind his kennel door with wide, beautifully inquisitive eyes. On-screen text written from his perspective asks if he did something wrong to deserve another rejection.

He looks visibly confused by the sudden change in his environment. Pit Bull puppies like to please their owners and mostly bond closely with human family members. This sensitivity is perhaps what makes the constant back-and-forth routine extra difficult for him to process.

Fortunately, a kind volunteer decided to take the sad pup out for a long afternoon walk to clear his head. The happy fur baby immediately grabbed a favorite plush toy and carried it in his mouth the entire time.

He snuggled close to his human friend, tail wagging happily while collecting dozens of soft forehead kisses. The volunteer repeatedly reminded him that he is a good boy who is definitely not too much to handle.

Later on, the emotional video captures the pair hanging out inside his small indoor sleeping area. The volunteer hands the lonely shelter dog a brand-new toy and some tasty treats to help comfort him. Kingston accepts the gifts sweetly before settling down onto his bed as the facility lights start to dim.
