Milkshake may be looking for a forever home, but she has already found plenty of fans online. The rescue puppy recently appeared in a video shared by her foster mom, who wanted to show off her sweet and goofy personality. It did not take long for viewers to notice one particularly unusual habit. As it turns out, Milkshake has a favorite way of sitting that sets her apart from most dogs.
Rescue puppy up for adoption has a favorite way to sit
Milkshake is currently being fostered by Savannah, who posts on Instagram under the handle @savdooling. In the clip, Savannah describes the rescue puppy as a “calm, goofy girl” who has been “enjoying the California sunshine” and plenty of affection while in foster care and the video quickly backs that up.
Rather than sitting like most dogs, Milkshake is shown lounging on Savannah’s lap almost like a baby. She leans back on her lower half with her belly exposed, while Savannah rubs her stomach and talks to the camera. According to Savannah, this is Milkshake’s “favorite way to sit.”
What makes the clip especially funny is how natural Milkshake seems in the pose. She stares curiously toward the camera with an expression that is calm and completely unbothered. Savannah even jokes that she thinks Milkshake believes she is human, and the puppy’s easy confidence does little to disprove that theory.
Commenters were quick to fall for her. “What a precious girl! Puppy love, she is so relaxed,” one person wrote. Another zeroed in on the puppy’s most prominent feature in the clip, adding, “That belly tho.” Others kept it simple but no less enthusiastic, with comments like “SO adorable!” and “She is so cute.”
If Milkshake’s goal was to make a strong impression on potential adopters, it’s safe to say the little puppy has already done that.
