Nicole, a volunteer, visited a “high k*ll shelter in Los Angeles” a year ago and met Chocolate. He was “absolutely terrified” and would not stop barking in the kennel. But what was even disheartening for the volunteer was to know that the shelter dog “has received a euthanasia notice and had no adoption interest.” So, in a bid to save the pooch, Nicole “posted a video of him” on social media. In fact, “a woman all the way in Germany reached out” to adopt the pooch.
To make the transition smooth, the German owner even “found someone in the comments who could foster him until she could get him.” Soon after, the pooch “left the shelter” with the help of a “transport volunteer,” much to everyone’s joy. Chocolate then stayed with a “temp foster” until a volunteer came over. He even “hung out with other dog that was picked up from the same shelter.” But the pup’s life changed for good when he “met his mom when she arrived to pick him up.” Chocolate flew from “Lancaster in Los Angeles” to Germany, where “his life started.”
Months later, even Nicole flew to Germany and visited Chocolate and his mom. They were beyond satisfied to “see how loved and happy” the pooch was. Needless to say, his story left many netizens emotional, as a person said, “what an amazing happy ending for this sweet pup, so many great humans.” Another individual mentioned, “Truly incredible!!
