No Jump Scares Can Shake This Golden Retriever’s Love for Scary Movies

Watching scary movies is not everyone’s cup of tea. However, the same can’t be said for this pooch, who loves watching spooky films a bit too much. And to prove this, Mom filmed the Golden Retriever’s reaction while watching “Scream 7” and shared the video on social media. The pup’s reaction is winning hearts online as her reel is slowly gaining attention.

Golden Retriever is a little too invested in watching a scary movie

Every dog loves some screen time. Some like to watch animated movies, some like cartoons, and some like light-hearted pet-related movies. Even this Golden Retriever, Willow, loves to watch them all, but it seems one genre is her favourite in particular. A video uploaded on @willowflixandchill shows how invested the pooch is while watching “Scream 7” with her mom.

The clip shows Willow standing on the couch and jumping down while watching the actor running in the movie. The pup does not flinch even for a minute. She seems to be curious throughout the scene, anticipating what will happen next. At one point, the pup even tries to “warn the girl” on-screen, but then realizes the girl can’t hear her. Willow then remains fixated on the screen while wagging her tail and waiting to see what happens next.

Her tail stops wagging only when Willow sees the actor finally being able to hide behind a pillar. The most bizarre part is that the pup seems to know “when a jump scare is going to happen,” and she was “getting ready for it” by being a bit restless. However, the scene failed to scare the brave Willow as she continued watching without flinching. This proves she is now a pro at watching scary movies.

“I’ve noticed that Willow has been getting into scary movies. Decided to put Scream 7 on and she was very much into it,” mentioned the mom in the caption of the Golden Retriever video, which has gained some attention online. “I knowwww she’s feeling ALL THE ANXIETY Such a good girllll,” mentioned a person on the post, while others left heart and heart-eyed emojis to appreciate Willow’s brave move.
