A volunteer makes an “overlooked” shelter dog’s day by taking her outside. This Instagram video shows a rescue dog staying in a kennel, who appears to get excited when the uploader visits her.
According to the caption, volunteer Julie Saraceno’s “favorite way to spend a Sunday” is to take the pup out for a day. Named Giraffe, the fur baby has been “transferred from another shelter.” During their outing, the pooch enjoys a car ride, a perfect walk, and a pup cup. Understandably, when they return to the shelter, the pup doesn’t want to go inside.
Volunteer helps an ‘overlooked’ shelter dog to have a hopeful, fun-filled day out
In an adorable video on Instagram, a shelter dog, who is said to be “overlooked,” enjoys a fun-filled day out with a volunteer. Julie Saraceno arrives at the kennel to pick up Giraffe, who seems excited to see her. In the on-screen text, the woman mentions that the fur baby was moved to this kennel from another shelter on May 17.
Saraceno then helps Giraffe get inside the car. She notes that the pup is a “staff favorite.” Meanwhile, the shelter dog lovingly looks at the woman, who doesn’t stop pampering and loving him. The volunteer, then, reveals that Giraffe will need basic training, including socialization.
Wearing an “Adopt Me” jacket, Giraffe seems to enjoy the car ride as he admires the outside world. They play near a body of water, and the pup spends time observing hikers. She is then treated to a pup cup. After a fun day, Giraffe is understandably not ready to go back into the kennel, but somehow Saraceno brings him in.
Meanwhile, viewers have showered Giraffe with love in the comments. A user wrote, “What a sweetie pie! She’s going to make a great neighborhood watch member whenever she gets adopted.” Another said, “Giraffe you are precious!! Boosting from Florida to get this sweet girl seen.” The Instagram post has received over 3K likes as of this writing.
