Atlas technically lives on a farm, but judging by this viral clip, his actual job description seems to be a professional cutie. Over on @villamaria.firenze, a gorgeous Golden Retriever is winning over fans while doing very little actual work, and nobody seems to mind. The video has already picked up more than 1.6k likes, because it shows him chilling among the olive trees and rolling stone walls. The funniest part? While the humans are busy keeping the farm running, Atlas appears to supervise from the most comfortable spot possible.
Golden Retriever is living his best life on a Tuscan farm
The footage opens with a human working hard under a rustic stone archway on the property. A happy dog tail wags along the path, and then the camera pans over to reveal Atlas perched high up on a stone wall. He is just lounging under the bright blue Tuscan sky, completely ignoring all the daily “farm” chores.
Because he sits way higher than the camera, the low-angle shot makes his floppy ears and droopy jowls look incredibly goofy. Next, we see him happily chewing on some treat and he looks totally content while doing that.
In the next shot, a human hand reaches up to feed him another yummy snack, and then we see Atlas lean way over the edge of the wall. He also tries his absolute best to sniff the phone camera directly. This breed is famously affectionate and social, so turning a workspace into a personal hangout is just standard behavior.
The owner cheered on his lack of a work ethic, writing in the caption that Atlas has mastered the true art of Tuscan living, which is “supervising, looking cute, and contributing absolutely nothing… except vibes.”
