11-year-old Brady the Corgi apparently has a job to do an impression of a firetruck siren, and it is as sweet and hilarious as it gets. During an ordinary walk with Brady in @bradythecorgi’s video on Instagram, the sound of a passing firetruck cut through the neighborhood, and the dog stopped where he was to do what his owner already knew was coming. He tilted his head upward and let out a series of six howls, each one pausing just long enough to make you laugh.
Corgi stops mid-walk to do the perfect firetruck impression, winning hearts
As the Corgi does his impression of the passing firetruck’s siren, he matches the rhythm like he has been doing it his whole life. Judging by the owner’s caption that says, “This will forever be my favorite thing ❤️,” he has most likely been doing it forever. When Brady stops and looks back at his mom, he earns “Good job, baby” from her — and good job indeed.
An eleven-year-old Corgi feels the need to mimic the siren because high-pitched, sustained sounds like a firetruck hoot sound remarkably similar to the long-distance howls that wolves use to call pack members back together.
When a domesticated dog howls along, he is probably answering. In the firetruck siren, Brady might hear what he thinks is a distant packmate and feels compelled to call back, “I’m here,” and it sounds like an impression.
Viewers adored every second of it. One person joked, “How do I unlock this feature in my corgi,” while another observed, “He’s so proud of his contribution at the end,” and a third commenter called him “the cutest little fire engine I’ve ever seen.” Moreover, someone even declared that the whole performance was “the song of his people.” As far as Brady is concerned, he is an honorary member of the crew.
