While she was hesitant at first about their bond, things changed for the better as the dogs became soulmates from the moment they met. Adrian and Spencer are “ugly scrawny misshapen rat dog lover” who make sure to foster senior dogs to make their life better. While the couple fosters old dogs, they are also parents to Gus, a senior Chihuahua, whom they love with all their heart. However, looking at how lonely the pooch felt, the owners decided to foster another senior dog, Penny, of the same breed.
But things soon changed for the better when the couple saw the two bond immediately after meeting. So, when the Penny was open to adoption, they decided to keep the pooch because she was the same age as Gus and they could “live around the same lifespan together,” as per the mom who narrated their tale in a clip.
And it seems they made the best decision, as Gus and Penny quickly became inseparable. From playing, sleeping, to hanging out together, the duo is always seen together, as seen in the clip on “@adoptolddogs.” And looking at their love, Adrian feels she is “living in an honest to god romance novel I swear,” which the viewers agree with.
