We also get to see how this sweet pup is adjusting to his sudden change of circumstances. He is a 13-year-old Pug, fittingly named Grandpa, who proves you are never too old to find a brand-new pack.

The clip starts at the local animal shelter as his new mom opens the kennel door. Grandpa is fast asleep on his bed, but wakes up instantly when she gently touches his back. His tail begins wagging the second he spots the leash and harness. Later, he practically climbs right into her lap to get ready for the big exit. Dad walks into the frame next, giving the old boy a giant, emotional hug before they leave. He even soaks up plenty of forehead kisses from mom.
When Mom lifts him into the backseat of the car, Grandpa gets progressively more comfortable. He spends the journey pressed against the glass, checking out the passing views. Once they arrive home, Mom carries him straight into the backyard to introduce the resident pack. Four excited dogs rush over to investigate the newcomer. They quickly begin chasing him around the grass, trying to get a friendly sniff.
This sweet senior rescue dog adapts instantly, making the successful adoption look like an absolute breeze in the viral video. He is deaf, nearly 13, and dealing with dodgy kidneys, but he still tries playing with the resident Dachshund. Dad even kneels on the grass to distribute treats to the whole gathered crew in a neat semi-circle.
