Walking through the front door usually triggers some puppy excitement. However, one formerly terrified pup takes the welcome routine to a whole new level. McKenzie runs the Instagram page @dogsandadream, where she helps vulnerable shelter animals. Her latest clip features Arizona, a sweet Pit Bull rescue who used to be too scared to trust anyone. Now, this amazing foster dog stands by the entryway ready to greet her mom with the most intense full-body wiggles. It really is the ultimate proof of how safety changes everything.
Foster dog greets mom with endless wiggles after overcoming her fear
The Instagram reel starts right as the doorknob turns and the apartment door opens. Inside, Arizona stands waiting as a one-dog welcoming committee, completely overflowing with happiness. She throws her entire body into a dramatic head-to-tail wagging routine. Pit Bulls can hold a lot of excitement in their hips, and she really puts on a show.
The dog’s foster mom immediately slips into that automatic excited dog voice, repeating “Hi! Hi!” while laughing at Arizona’s little hallway dance routine. The foster dog keeps bouncing around, spinning slightly, sneezing once from excitement, and wiggling nonstop. At one point, her mom asks, “Are you happy I’m home?” and Arizona pauses just long enough to listen carefully before starting the wiggles all over again.
She throws in a couple of quick sneezes before shuffling backward to keep the party going. The camera also catches the other family dog sniffing the floor. As of the time of writing, the heartwarming clip racked up over 10.5k likes in less than 24 hours. McKenzie notes that the welcome home wiggles are just “so dang cute.”
Internet fans are completely obsessed with the performance as well. One viewer commented that it qualifies as full-body wiggle squiggles from head to tail. Another person pointed out her adorable tip-tap dancing. Watching a nervous shelter animal finally let their guard down is the absolute best feeling. This affectionate girl is currently looking for a permanent family and is up for adoption through @kcpetproject.
