A dog is obsessed with his rock collection in the sweetest way possible, and he wants his furry little sister to join the club. Instagram user @bootsandbuoys shared how Cowboy, the Long-Haired Chihuahua, has a hobby of collecting rocks.
He does it with full-on devotion, and his ritual involves grooming his rocks, napping on them, tucking them in before bed every night, and treating them like his real pets. What melts hearts, though, is that the dog teaches his baby sister to look after the rocks as well.

The video’s on-screen caption notes, “My dog has a pet rock collection,” adding, “He likes to groom them and tuck them in every night before he goes to bed” — something he teaches his furry sister to do, too. As the video shows Cowboy running on the beach, the on-screen caption notes, “His favorite place is the beach, where he can collect more.”
However, when Cowboy’s little Chihuahua sister, Sailor, enters the picture, everyone stops. The avid rock collector does not keep his treasures to himself — he shows his sibling each rock and seems to walk her through the collection like a big brother passing down sacred knowledge.
The on-screen caption adds, “But most of all, he likes to teach his little sister about them, and how special they are to him.” As they play with the collection together, the caption continues, “He takes mentoring very seriously.”
Viewers loved every bit of it. One wrote, “When I was a child, I used to collect stones just like this, to think there’s a dog out there just like me,” while another called them “emotional support rocks,” and a third user joked, “He just like me fr.”
The owner jumped in to gently reassure, “He only licks his rocks, rather than chews them. He’s super gentle with his pets.” All in all, the dog’s rock collection is proof that one can find joy in the simplest things, and sometimes the best friend you can share this joy with is your little furry sister.
