Documenting the best beach day is a mandatory task when your dog is a total sand and wave enthusiast. Zebby, the Golden Retriever, is very much one of those pups. The second his mom announces they’re going for a beach day in a viral clip from @zebbythegolden, the entire mood changes.
One minute, he’s lying calmly at home, and the next, he’s fully alert and ready to go. Moreover, the excitement never drops after that. The video follows the fluffy beach expert through an entire day of digging, running, resting, snacking, and getting gloriously exhausted by the ocean.
Dog having best day at beach steals hearts
The footage shows Zebby waiting by the car while his mom walks toward him with the camera. He has a big smile on his face because he knows exactly where they are headed. He eventually jumps into the backseat, though he tries to claim the center armrest for himself. His mom has to gently remind him to stay in the back while they drive.
Next, he is leaning out the window to feel the salty breeze. Naturally, his golden fur flies everywhere as they get closer to the sand. It is clearly the best feeling for a pup who loves the outdoors. Once they reach the water, Zebby shows off his favorite sun hat and the biggest possible grin.
This breed is famously obsessed with water and retrieving, which shows in every frame. He spends time digging deep holes in the sand right behind the beach chairs. Then he sprints toward the camera after successfully grabbing a ball from the waves.
His human even set up a special elevated bed under a canopy for his breaks. He rolls around on the fabric, which makes his mom laugh at his goofy energy. All that running around makes him thirsty, so his dad holds out a collapsible water bowl for him to drink from. Next, Zebby takes a few more laps toward the waves before finally calling it a day.
The ride home shows a completely different pup, who is now completely exhausted. Tiny “crimpies” form in his ear fur as it dries. One fan mentioned that they absolutely love that specific look on him. With over 15K likes, it is obvious that people cannot get enough of his seaside vibes.
