The hilariously guilty pup from @sebaubrey is going viral after getting confronted over a destroyed shoe while pretending to be completely unavailable for questioning. And honestly, the commitment to the act is impressive. The video already has more than 812k likes, mostly because this dog clearly knows he’s been caught but still refuses to participate in the investigation.
Labrador won’t open eyes after owner confronts about shoe mischief
The video starts out in the yard with Jackie sitting on the grass, completely motionless. Eyes shut. Face calm. Very innocent-looking, at least at first glance. Then dad walks over holding what used to be a Croc. “Jackie mate, who did this?” he asks while filming him. Jackie does not react. Not even a little, well, except for the tiny head turn away from the evidence sitting right in front of his face. One fan joked in the comments that Jackie does not respond to negativity in his life.
Dad leans in closer. “Did you do that?” Still nothing. In fact, it looks like he is also holding his breath. Jackie continues to keep his eyes tightly shut. After all, if he can’t see dad, dad can’t see him, right? At one point, he cracks one eye open for half a second, spots dad still standing there with the destroyed shoe, and immediately shuts it again. He is in full denial mode.
Things get even funnier when dad asks where the missing Croc went. Jackie starts doing these tiny little nose wiggles while pretending he cannot hear a single word. Then comes another quick peek. Another fast eye close. Dad finally tells him, “I know you’re awake,” and everyone watching knows that too.
