Throughout the video, he seems to be rejoicing every moment, and if that is not the goal with pets, what is? The caption under the post reads, “18 months of Tyler. It’s amazing what a bit of love can do.” And it is true.
Senior rescue dog neglected for years fully transforms after just a few months of love
The video begins with a pretty sad note on the screen — “Aged 13. Rescued after years of neglect.” But the scene immediately cuts to the good stuff with the next line — “18 months of love later,” and from there, the previously neglected senior rescue dog lives a life full of love, as if he is packing in a lifetime of adventures.
From trotting along a sandy beach and rolling around on a soft couch blanket, Tyler does not look like he is 13. He seems zealous and really full of life as he runs across a green yard, rocks a sparkly bow tie with his tongue out, rolls on the grass, soaks up the sun, and munches on a plate of noodles. The little dog even enjoys a vanilla ice cream cone, celebrates a birthday party, sleeps comfortably with his furry friend, and seems at ease as he is tucked into the blanket.
Dogs are great at living in the moment, and they do not spend their days dwelling on the past — so once Tyler realized he was safe, his body stopped producing those survival stress hormones. And with love now being a part of his life, the neglected part of the senior rescue dog was all gone, and his resilience took over. Now, he could focus on the good stuff like warm blankets and tasty snacks.
