Everyone knows that one houseguest who gets extra special treatment every single time they pull into the driveway. And for an overly emotional Golden Retriever named Wally, that favorite person is definitely his grandma. The popular Instagram account @wally.meets.world recently shared a clip of what happens when she comes to visit. Jules, Wally’s mom, caught the whole chaotic scene on camera. Usually, he is just chilling in the living room, minding his own business. Then, he hears those magic words “Grandma’s here,” and he gets very excited.

Wally’s mom starts the fun by whispering that the special guest has arrived. At first, the Golden gives her a skeptical side-eye. He quickly realizes she is serious and, in his excitement, accidentally sprints up the stairs. Mom has to remind him that his grandma is actually outside. He realizes his error and trots back down and hops up to the window ledge.
Wally sees her car, and his entire body starts wagging. He loves every single visit from his favorite person and can barely contain his joy while waiting at the back door. His mom opens the door, and he flies out to the sunny patio and down the steps. Grandma is standing across the fenced gate with a shopping bag and a big smile.
She calls him handsome and tries to get him to sit, but he is so focused on that bag that he can barely keep his paws down. As soon as he sits, she dangles the prize over the fence, and he immediately grabs the bag and pulls out a plush toy in the shape of a basket of apples. One viewer joked that, “He’s like ‘hurrryyy (paw punches) gimme dat bag (grabs the bag).”
Later, Wally walks up the steps with his new treasure to show his mom. The video then cuts to show him settling onto the couch right next to grandma for some snuggles. He even puts a possessive paw on her leg to make sure she stays. Another viewer summed it up perfectly, “That excitement level is 10/10 Walls!!!”
