Taking a bath all by yourself is impossible when a clingy dog decides his mom needs a fluffy bodyguard. Over at @adventures.of.pilot, this Golden Retriever is proving in this video that personal space, or even shower time, is a myth for dog parents, especially his mom.
Pilot recently went viral in a clip where he refused to let his favorite person be alone for even five minutes. He parked himself right against the shower door like a furry security guard, surprising his mom in the sweetest way.

The clip starts with Mom pulling the handle of the fogged-up glass door to see what is happening outside. And there Pilot is. He is curled into a tight ball on the bath mat, back resting on the little step up. He looks exactly like a fresh croissant.
This breed is known for being incredibly social and people-oriented, and they truly hate being left out of any activity. Truly velcro dogs. Pilot did not seem to mind the humidity or the wait. He just wanted to be as close as possible to his mom in the shower. As soon as he hears the door move, he starts to uncurl and blinks up sleepily.
His human sounds completely smitten while she films the scene. She reaches down to give him some deep under-chin scritches. She asks if he was waiting for her while he just looks on adoringly. It is clear that he wouldn’t have moved an inch if she had stayed in there all day. He just loves her that much. One viewer mentioned he is the best company ever.
She gets up to show us a top shot of Pilot lying there, and then bends down again for more scritches and even a nose boop. The video has already reached over 13,000 likes in just a few hours. Fans are obsessed with how soft and sweet he looks. One person commented that he looks like a very soft croissant. Having a dog who follows you into the bathroom is a classic pet owner struggle, but it is also the ultimate compliment.
