Over at @thebabypancake, Pancake is currently going viral because she thinks a fluffy pillow is unnecessary for a high-quality nap. According to her bio, she is an unhinged English Bulldog girl, and her sleeping habits definitely match that description. She clearly makes her own rules about where to rest her face. Comfort, for her, is entirely subjective.
Owner reveals which things dog insists are comfier than pillow
The video starts with Pancake using a pillow, as the on-screen text lays down the context, but then things quickly escalate. She decides to plant her face right on her dad’s forehead. His nose gets completely squished while she looks perfectly content. In fact, the dog also finds the edge of the couch to be better than a pillow. We see her sitting on the floor and propping her chin on the seat’s cushion. It looks incredibly uncomfortable, but what do we know about a Bulldog’s comfort?
Next on the list are her colorful toys. She balances her heavy head on a plushie like it is a memory foam cloud. Surprisingly, her human’s hand and thumb are also top-tier resting spots. She stays perfectly still while her chin balances on his wrist, looking sweetly at her human, who is filming.
The bulldog even finds the wooden stairwell landing to be a great resting spot. The hard floor doesn’t seem to bother this dog at all. The coffee table edge provides a sunny spot for a quick snooze as she hooks her chin over the side while sitting on a chair.
Pancake even falls asleep on a random metal chair on a boat. Her owner says, “Pancake cannot be convinced otherwise.” Most dramatically, she rests her full face right on her human’s eye socket. It truly is such a funny sight. Eventually, she passes out on her human’s ankle over a thick sock. As the in-video text concludes, she truly believes pillows are “overrated.”
