A dog who just had a forced grooming session really knows how to pout. Zebby is a very fluffy boy who usually lives for tennis balls and beach days in Hermosa Beach. However, his latest video from @zebbythegolden shows him in a very different mood. He is being extremely dramatic because his Golden Retriever instincts clearly tell him that grooming is a personal betrayal. He is sitting in the backseat of the car, looking absolutely miserable about his “fresh” persona.

The clip starts with Zebby staring out the car window with a very displeased expression while mom films him from the front seat. She knows he’s being sulky, like he usually is, and so tries to cheer him up by saying he looks handsome. This backfires immediately; he looks sadder and stares further into the distance.
He seems to think this whole trip was unnecessary and a waste of time. One viewer joked that Zebby is wondering if he wasn’t handsome enough before the appointment. He is not happy about his afternoon at all. Mom is still trying to make conversation and asks if he was a good boy for the staff, but Zebby would rather focus on the wind through the window.
He refuses to make eye contact with mom. Next, he rests his chin on the window ledge and sulks. He ignores every compliment that she has to offer him. Another fan mentioned that retrievers are just so full of feelings. He refuses to have a conversation with her because he is too busy being upset about his clean fur.
