This little Bernese Mountain Dog is sitting on the carpet and staring with pure intensity at his dad. He looks genuinely baffled as the man reaches for a pair of shoes on the couch. According to his bio, his main hobbies usually involve eating and sleeping. But right now, the engineering behind a shoelace is the most interesting thing he has ever seen.
Puppy is adorably curious about what dad puts on his feet
The clip opens in the living room with Stöckli parked right in front of the action. You can only see his owner’s feet as he crosses one leg to start the process. Stöckli follows every single movement as if it were a magic trick. He watches the hand pick up the shoe and slide it on. One viewer joked that they wish their husband looked at them with that much devotion. These big fluff balls are famous for being incredibly attached to their humans. So, he isn’t going anywhere until he understands exactly what is happening.
Dad starts pulling at the laces, and Stöckli actually looks up at his face for a second. He seems to be checking whether they are going to make eye contact and help him understand what is happening. Since the human is busy with the knots, Stöckli turns his focus back down to the dangling strings.
He sits there so patiently that it will absolutely melt your heart. He is clearly wondering why anyone would bother with laces when four paws work perfectly fine. The in-video text from his POV says he just goes barefoot. No biggie.
