The video begins with mom filming from her bed, and she can see the Golden Retriever lying down in the hallway. Skye is sitting perfectly still on the runner with a bag of Chex Mix in her mouth. Carrying things in their mouth is one of the classic traits of this breed. She isn’t actually eating the contents of the packet; she is just holding the bag hostage to get attention. The dog knows that “soft mouth” technique is the perfect way to carry her prize without popping the plastic.
Skye watches carefully until she is sure she has mom’s eyes on her. Then, she drops the bag and starts to make a loud crinkly noise with it.
