The video shows Opie rubbing his body against his person for attention, the way cats do when they want pets. He then “loafs” on the couch with his paws tucked under him. Also, at one point, he grooms himself “like a cat,” curled up and using his paws the way cats do when they clean.
While sleeping, Opie squeezes into tiny cat beds that look way too small for him. And when he sleeps, he does it with his paw on his face. This is a move many cat owners would say they see every time their cat goes to sleep. In the end, the video even shows the Pit Bull grooming a cat, and it cannot get better than that.
Pets tend to copy the social rules of the home they grow up in. When an animal spends years watching other animals do something, like rubbing for attention, curling up in small beds, and grooming in a certain way, that behavior can start to look normal, especially if it gets a positive reaction.
